WINE SPECTATOR´S NEW YORK WINE EXPERIENCE 2013. Programa matutino del 25 de Octubre


Al día siguiente, continuamos nuestro recorrido de aprendizaje, disfrute y placer con lo que nos ofrecía el programa diurno, desde muy temprano, comenzábamos con un desayuno continental, para luego dirigirnos al gran salón del Hotel Marriott Marquis, el cual se encontraba impecablemente dispuestos para recibirnos y ofrecernos LAS CATAS…

El programa matutino comenzó con una vertical de CHAMPAGNE´S ROEDERER CRISTAL, conducida por Frédéric Rouzaud, jefe de la casa, y Alison Napjus, editor senior de WS.

Nos contó acerca de su bodega fundada en 1760, que posteriormente  pasó a manos de Roederer en 1833. Dicha bodega se encuentra en Reims, Francia, posee 205 hectáreas de cultivo, donde las variedades cultivadas son Pinot Noir y Chardonnay, a razón de 8300 cepas por hectárea, con rendimientos entre 10000 a 12000 Kgs por hectárea. En la vinificación, tienen flexibilidad respecto a la realización de la fermentación maloláctica.  Gran selección envejecimiento en grandes barriles de roble francés y un embotellamiento relativamente precoz.  Posee instalaciones climatizadas, con unas condiciones sanitarias increíbles.  Todos los vinos de reserva, son en esencia del Cristal, se mantienen en grandes foudres de madera, lo cual contribuye a darle el estilo y gran cuerpo embriagador.  La mezcla varía, pero en general Cristal se produce con un 50% a 60% de Pinot Noir, y el resto Chardonnay.

Cristal, fue el Champagne elegido por los Zares de Rusia, año 1873.  Actualmente es una empresa familiar, productora de uno de los Champagnes más prestigiosos del mundo.

Sus mejores recientes añadas fueron 96, 90 y 82.

Degustamos 

1.-LOUIS ROEDERER BRUT CHAMPAGNE CRISTAL 2002. Proviene de pagos clasificados Grand Cru. Posee aromas a levadura, pan grillé, bollería.  En boca otorga una refrescante acidez, con sensaciones minerales y sedosas.

2.- LOUIS ROEDERER BRUT CHAMPAGNE CRISTAL 1996 Compuesta por un 60% de Pinot Noir, proveniente de dos pagos distintos, el resto Chardonnay cuyo aporte a la mezcla es elegancia.  No se hizo Maloláctica en esta añada.  De maduración lenta.  Con un tiempo de guarda de 8 años con sus lías.  Sus aromas a fermentación son cautivantes, notas oxidativas en perfecta conjunción con frutos secos, avellanas, almendras, flores blancas, miel, acacia... en boca es elegante, pura, precisa, elegante, compleja, persistente, plena.

3.- LOUIS ROEDERER BRUT CHAMPAGNE CRISTAL 1990 De tonos dorados brillantes y burbuja fina y continua infinita, se nos presenta el vino con mayor evolución.  Notas oxidativas enriquecedoras, mineralidad, menor frutosidad más complejidad ganada por el pasar del tiempo.  Mayor intensidad aromática y gustativa.  Compleja, profunda, bien lograda.  Intensidad y seducción en cada sorbo.

4.- LOUIS ROEDERER BRUT ROSE CHAMPAGNE CRISTAL 2002  Creada en 1974, con la proporción de 70% Pino Noir y 30% Chardonnay, la vinificación de las variedades es por separado.  El Pinot Noir se vinifica con una leve maceración en frío, con sus hollejos para extracción de color hasta la gamma justa.  Su color es Rosa Pálido. Ofrece frescura, frutosidad, notas tostadas e intensidad aromática y gustativa.  De largo recuerdo.

De seguidas pasó un gran productor de vinos de la región del Ródano, Michel Chapoutier, para presentarnos su M. Chapoutier Ermitage White de l´Orée 2010.  Se trata de un vino blanco que ha obtenido puntajes de 96 Ptos.  Sus variedades son Viognier y Marsanne.  Con gran potencial de Guarda.  En nariz es floral, perfumado, mineral. A la vista es ligero, alegre baile en copa, y en boca nos ataca dulce con una refrescante acidez, sensaciones minerales, salinas.  Buen balance y equilibrio.  Muy rico!
Vino el mediodía, sin descanso, degustamos de un almuerzo temático  increíble, acompañado de vinos de la región de Sonoma de la Bodega propiedad de Peter Michael,  donde cada comensal tenía la oportunidad de tomar las botellas del centro de la mesa y maridarlas al gusto.  Allí pudimos degustar y armonizar con los platos los distintos vinos ofrecidos, que listados son los siguientes: 1.- Chardonnay, Knights Valle La Carrière 2009 (Chardonnay con madera, muy buena nariz, perfumado, mineral, floral, en boca fresco, ligero de persistencia media) 2.- Pinot Noir Fort Ross-Seaview Ma Danseuse 2011 (Frutal, avainillado, aromas a frutos rojos, caramelo, sedoso en boca, fresco, amigable, con acidez equilibrada) 3.- Sauvignon Blanc Knigths Valley L´Après Midi 2011 (Aromas tropicales, mineralidad marina, ataque dulce en boca con ligera acidez refrescante, buen balance gustativo) 4.- Les Pavots Knights Valley 2007,(Aromas especiados, a tierra húmeda, champiñón, en boca es seco, con ligera acidez y amables taninos) 5.- Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Au Paradis 2011. (Aromas a pimentón cocido, especiado y mentolado, caramelo, torrefactos, en boca ataque dulce con taninos cultos, amarga despedida con persistencia media).

Luego de conocer una muestra de vinos de Sonoma, vino el postre, pasamos nuevamente al salón de cata, donde nos esperaba EL PRINCIPE ROBERT DE LUXEMBOURG, nada más y nada menos, que para presentarnos su vino: CHÂTEAU LA MISSION HAUT-BRION! Bodega fundada en 1540. Hoy propiedad, desde 1983, de la familia Dillon. Se trata de un blend con Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, cuya mezcla varía según el año.
En esta ocasión degustamos la cosecha 2009, es originario de la región de Pessac-Léognan de Burdeos, este gran vino se viste de Rubí intenso, profundo, brillante y semi cubierto, su densidad es media, lágrimas que se toman su tiempo para su descenso, en nariz ofrece aromas a fruta, mentol, especias, aromas florales a violeta, mineralidad, caramelo, vainilla, bouquet animal, a sudor, cuero, da tanto.. Qué generoso es!, en boca aborda dulce, va seduciendo poco a poco cada papila, luego refresca su acidez, estimula su salinidad y se despide con un suave amargor y una larga sensación de recuerdo.  Este gran vino tiene un enorme potencial de guarda, es una delicia que acaricia los sentidos, da un placer inmenso al ser bebido...más bien vivido!
 La última de las sesiones vespertinas de cata correspondió a una variada muestra de vinos alemanes.  Para mi sorpresa, rompieron con mis esquemas, fueron interesantísimos!  En otras oportunidades había probado vinos alemanes, que no gozaban de la calidad de estos… La degustación se centró en Vinos de la variedad Riesling, conducida por Kim Marcus, managing editor de WS, Nik Eis, St. Irbans-Hof; Gunter Hauck, Basserman-Jordan; Christian Witte, Schloss Johannisberg, Johannes Hasselbach, Gunderloch.  Degustamos los siguientes vinos:


1.- St. Urbans-Hof Riesling Beerenaulese Mosel Saarfeilser 2010. Vino Amarillo dorado pálido, aromas a confitura, miel, frutos tropicales, flores blancas, muy aromático, excelente balance de acidez y dulzura con mineralidad. Refrescante en boca, no empalaga. Densidad media. Breve.

2.- Basserman-Jordan Riesling Beerenaulese Pfalz Deidesheirmer Hohenmorgen 2010 Vino de Amarillo dorado intenso, vivaz, aromas a fruta tropical confitada, cascara de limón, con densidad, en boca es pleno, con una dulzura equilibrada, persistente despedida.

3.- Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Trockenbeerenaulese Rheingau Goldlack 2011 Vino más denso, Amarillo Oro brillante, variedad de aromas con intensidad, aromas a piña confitada, almíbar, notas amílicas, a barniz de uñas, en boca es sedoso, balance perfecto entre dulzor y acidez, sabroso!

4.- Gunderloch Riesling Trockenbeerenaulese Rheinhessen Nackenheim Rothenberg 2007. De color ámbar, brillante, en nariz presenta de entrada notas oxidativas enriquecedoras, miel y caramelo, flores blancas, orejones de durazno, vino con cuerpo y densidad, al gusto es exótico, con mineralidad. Buena despedida, agradable persistencia.

Bueno queridos seguidores, este fue el comienzo del día… apenas fue el programa de la mañana, quedaba mucho más por ver, conocer y disfrutar.  Se los contaré después, lo dejamos para la próxima!

WINE SPECTATOR´S NEW YORK WINE EXPERIENCE 2013, OCT 24



“La mejor experiencia que he vivido en vinos, en toda mi vida”…
Cumplí años, y cumplí un sueño, el poder estar en un evento de esta naturaleza.  Sin saber bien el regalo que me estaba dando, hace unos meses me pregunté, porqué no asistir a un evento donde se tenga la oportunidad de degustar los mejores vinos del mundo, donde se puedan conocer entre pasillos, a las personalidades más influyentes y en donde todo, absolutamente todo, está planificado para que el participante no sólo aprenda y tenga la oportunidad de descubrir, conocer y comparar vinos, sino por sobre todas las cosas, disfrutar del vino a placer total… Pues justamente eso, fue lo que yo hice, y lo hice a plenitud, no hubo tiempo que perder…

La Agenda fue bastante intensa, pero sabrosa! Dice el dicho que sarna con gusto no pica, y si pica no mortifica!... Pues picó de placer.. Aquí no provoca perderse de nada, aún cuando fuera de muros, está NYC, la capital del mundo. Casi nada!  Difícil elección.. Elegí vinos, luego NY, cuando había tiempo libre y se podía…

El 1er día, jueves en la noche, una vez registrados en el evento, y por supuesto en el Hotel Marriott Marquis de Time Square, hotel que recomiendo ampliamente, para quienes tengan la oportunidad de acudir a la cita, no dejen de elegirlo especialmente para este evento, por la comodidad, cercanía, ahorro de tiempo, y por supuesto por sus cómodas y bonitas instalaciones, habitaciones amplias y confortables, con un desayuno riquísimo!...  Volviendo al tema, eran las 6.30 p.m. del jueves 24 de Octubre, aún no había abierto al público el llamado Critics Choice Grand Tastings que no es más que la apertura a la degustación de los distintos vinos del mundo, ofrecidos por el stand de la bodega productora de cada vino, y nada más y nada menos que servido, en muchos casos, por sus propios dueños, o enólogos reputados o personas importantes de cada una de las Bodegas allí representadas. 

Previo al evento, había hecho una preselección de los stands a visitar.  Eran dos pisos de exposición, había sólo dos días, en horarios restringidos de 6.30 a 10 pm, que por la cualidad de nuestro ticket era sin limitaciones, permitía degustar todo lo que el cuerpo tuviera capacidad de degustar, analizar y disfrutar.  La verdad, aunque no me lo crea nadie, me plantee el reto como un tema profesional, sabía que no podía, y que era humanamente imposible probar todo, así que pensé, menos es más, me inclino por la calidad, por el conocer aquellos ejemplares de colección, que difícilmente podré tener acceso por razones de precio y disponibilidad en mi país. Y resultó ser que más es más, así que mejor!



Empezamos por el piso 6, era tácito empezar por allí, puesto que estaba El Champagne… Siempre hay que comenzar con Champagne… Pues bien, en una misma fila, uno al lado del otro, pude degustar Salon, Casa de Champagne que produce un único vino, el vintage Blanc de Blancs de Le Mesnil, es la expresión de la Côtes des Blancs, un singular terroir en la ciudad de Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, con una sola variedad de uva, Chardonnay, y con única añada; desde 1905, sólo han producido 37 añadas, la cosecha de 1999, que fue la que degustamos, siendo la última del siglo pasado… Mi impresión: simplemente perfecto, equilibrado y sedoso.



Seguidamente, fue el momento del Champagne Perriet-Jouët Brut Cuvée Belle Epoque 2004, esta casa de Champagne se ubica en Epernay, lo curioso de este prestigioso vino, además de su calidad excelsa, es el diseño floral de Art Nouveau de su botella, que rememora la Belle Epoque, mis notas acerca de este vino: es que es afrutado, refrescante con notas oxidativas enriquecedoras, con una compleja elegancia. 

Posteriormente le correspondió el turno a el Champagne Dom Pérignon Brut 2004, originado en la Abadía de Hautvillers, Epernay, Fracia, monasterio en cuyas cavas se dio origen al Champagne tal como hoy en día conocemos, fue uno de los primeros productores de vinos de ensamblaje, sólo es producido en las mejores añadas, con el balance absoluto del cuvée entre Chardonnay y Pinot Noir (en mi humilde opinión es un vino espumoso con gran potencial aromático, elegante y potente, soberbio!). 

Sucedió el Champagne Bollinger Brut Special Cuvée NV (magnum), su estilo es reconocido instantáneamente por ser seco, y tostado; por más de seis generaciones, esta casa de Champagne, ha producido y mantenido el estilo de la casa, sus viñedos están situados en los mejores pagos “grands y premier crus”, su producción y su cuvée consta de Pinot Noir y Chardonnay, mi consideración acerca de él, es que se trata de un champagne con una distintiva redondez, y elegancia, con buenas densidad, cuerpo y persistencia, una caricia al paladar.



Luego se abrió la oportunidad de degustar el Champagne Krug Brut Grande Cuvé NV, Casa establecida en 1843 en Reims Francia, que ilustra la emocionante aventura de un visionario productor Joseph Krug, quien se empeñaba en ofrecer a sus clientes la última experiencia en Champagne en cada añada, desde entonces, por más de seis generaciones, su familia ha mantenido todos los aspectos que hacen de este Champagne, un vino único, mis consideraciones de él, es que se trata de un vino espumoso sedoso, elegante, de fina y persistente burbuja, muy sofisticado. 



Para concluir con el Champagne, y despedirme, por ahora, de mi vino favorito, correspondió degustar a placer El Champagne Cristal  Brut de Louis Roederer 2005 mi consentido! El Rey de los vinos! “El Champagne”, sus aromas complejos, intensos, a fermentación, pan grillé, levadura, brioche, resultan seductores, es un vino goloso en boca, con grado de acidez equilibrado, glamoroso, persistente, sabroso, único!, anecdóticamente les cuento que esta Maison de Champagne,  fue fundada en 1776, y ha sido conducida sabiamente por la misma familia durante más de seis generaciones, este vino, fue creado para el Zar Alexander II de Rusia, ahora sé, que tengo algo en común con él…



Vaya comienzo no?... No crean, para mí no fue nada fácil abandonar este pasillo, a medida que avanzaba, lo miraba con nostalgia, recordaba cómo, varios sorbos de Champagne, podían haberme hecho tan feliz! (Ahí les dejo ese dato, quieren verme feliz, denme Champagne!)

Tenía que seguir, que duuurooo!, jajajaja…  les confieso, que sólo con la oportunidad de degustar y comparar los grandes de Champagne, ya el viaje había valido la pena. Vale lo que cuesta, y cuesta lo que vale!... Podía haber muerto en ese momento, me sentía en el Olimpo, en la Cima del Cielo… jajajaja,  pero había más, muchísimo más, ni siquiera yo sabía cuánto…

Había que seguir la tarea, pasamos a un espumoso italiano líder en su género, producido mediante el  método tradicional por la casa Ferrari F. lli Lunelli, se trataba de Ferrari F. lli Lunelli Brut Trante Giulio ferrari Riserva del Fondatore 2001,  por supuesto que fue una ricura en su género, pleno en aromas fermentativos, a levadura, frutos secos, muy bueno, pero corría en otro hipódromo, bajamos del Derby de Kentucky a la Rinconada (chiste local, Jajaja…)



Luego decidimos ir probando todos aquellos vinos recomendados por los críticos, aquellos con la distinción Critic´s Choice Award, probamos muchos, algunos vinos blancos alemanes, dentro de los cuales destacó el Dr. Loosen, 2011, Riesling Spätlese del Mosel, allí recordamos la categorización de los vinos alemanes, y la importancia del momento de vendimia y de la concentración de azúcares.

Seguidamente continuamos nuestro rumbo, hasta detenernos en la Casa Louis Jadot, de Borgoña, allí degustamos el prestigioso Clos Vougeot, Gran Cru 2010, vino tinto de Beaune, Côte d´Or fue grandioso, genuino, muy expresivo de su región.  Muy cerca, estaba Georges Duboeuf, también de Borgoña, concretamente de la región del Beaujolais, que se lució con su Moulin-à-Vent 2011, una muy bien lograda expresión del Gamay y del terroir , aunado al savoir-faire de la Bodega.

Ya con los motores en velocidad crucero, seguimos por el pasillo siguiente y nos encontramos con vinos de California, visitamos allí los stands de las Bodegas Shea, Calera y Caymus, ésta última fue la revelación de la noche, degustamos el Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Special Selección 2011, resultando ser intensamente aromático, con torrefactos, en boca fue elegante, sedoso, cremoso, pleno, con carácter y complejidad, intenso, de largo recuerdo, simplemente fantástico! Es producido por Caymus Vineyards en Rutherford California, desde 1972; y en 1989 logró el prestigioso premio del “Top Wine of the year Award de la revista Wine Spectator.   



Proseguimos con California, esta vez le tocó el turno a Robert Mondavi, un emblema de la Región, allí degustamos Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve 2010, en nariz resultó ser amaderado y complejo, con los matices clásicos del Cabernet Sauvignon, en boca buena densidad, con identidad.

Volvimos de nuevo a Francia, en esta oportunidad, nos fuimos a uno de los grandes, al prestigioso y muy conocido, con la fama bien ganada: Château Margaux, allí fuimos atendidos por una dama muy elegante, quien resultó ser nada más y nada menos que la dueña del Château, Corinne Mentzelopoulos, casi nada! Nos ofreció su gran vino el Château Margaux Margaux 2006, de tonos granate, semi traslúcido, cuerpo ligero, presentó aromas terciarios, a fruta confitada con aromas minerales, animales, a cuero, a flores como la violeta, en boca fue, es y será una maravilla, de ataque amable, elegante, con equilibrio gustativo, de largo recuerdo, deja un aroma en boca muy agradable. Una de las joyas del evento para mi!. Esta casa fue fundada en el 1400, pero pertenece a la familia   Mentzelopoulos, desde 1977, han sabido, y de qué manera!, preservar su tradición, belleza y excelencia.



Manteniéndonos en nuestra ardua labor, y felices de vivir esta experiencia, nos paramos en stands menos relevantes, tales como Peter Michael, Rodney Strong, Château Pontet-Canet, y llegamos a uno conocido, de nuestra región, Viña Concha y Toro, de Chile, Bodega ubicada en Santiago, fundada por Don Melchor en 1883. Nos ofreció su prestigioso Don Melchor, Cabernet Sauvignon 2009.  El más aclamado de sus vinos… proviene de las viñas de Puente Alto, Valle Alto Maipo.  Es un vino compuesto de 96% Cabernet Sauvignon y 4% Cabernet Franc,  que captura la esencia de su tierra ubicada a los pies de la Cordillera de los Andes, es cubierto, afrutado, mineral, potente, corpulento, robusto, intensidad aromática y gustativa, buen balance, de taninos domados, potentes pero educados y nostálgica despedida.

Luego visitamos una Bodega Boutique de California, Harlan State, de Napa Valley, se trata de una bodega más bien discreta, pero con grandes productos, con un potencial enorme! Su vino, fuera de lote, frutal, especiado, con fuerza y elegancia, redondo, ofrece muy buen balance y expresión.  Se trata de un blend compuesto en una proporción de Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc y Petit Verdot.

Si creíamos que era suficiente, nos equivocamos, porque venía más y mejor… la sorpresa era Château Pichón-Longueville Baron, Pauillac 2009, Burdeos; la propiedad que da origen a este vino fue clasificada en 1855 Cru Classé de Pauillac.  La añada 2009 fue una añada excelsa en la región, el vino es estructurado, elegante con una gran frescura, que hace gala de su terroir de origen, tradición en la elaboración, y de sus condiciones excepcionales.


Le cedió el paso a Château Cheval Blanc, seguimos en Burdeos, Francia, pero esta vez en Saint Emilion. Tuvimos el placer de conocerla personalmente años atrás, y se presentó la oportunidad del reencuentro en este evento.  Me sedujo de nuevo su Château Cheval Blanc 2006, que no es 1er Grand Cru Classé “A” por casualidad… es un vino que refleja más de dos siglos de tradición, en un suelo único, con una mezcla simbiótica de variedades tales como el Merlot y el Cabernet Franc.  Es Poderoso y Elegante al mismo tiempo. Es un vino para recordar, para pensar… Otra de las joyas de la noche!

 Continuamos en Francia, fue el turno de Château Lynch-Bages, volvimos a Pauillac, Burdeos, cosecha 2009, Grand Cru Classé.  Este viñedo data del Siglo XVI, así que pueden imaginarse la tradición y cómo, ese saber hacer vino, se ha transmitido por generaciones.  Es un gran vino, tiene de todo! Una paleta aromática que se va abriendo y descubriendo con el transcurrir del tiempo en copa, con aromas a fruta, flores, es especiado, mentolado, fresco, en boca es de ataque dulce, baña de sensaciones gustativas equilibradas, sin picos ni aristas, su despedida es larga, inolvidable.  Tremendo ejemplar!

Apenas habíamos recorrido poco más de la mitad del salón, el tiempo se nos hacía corto para todo lo que queríamos probar, ya no podía detenerme y dedicarle a cada vino el tiempo que merecía, es por eso que tuve, forzosamente, que tomar pocas notas de cada vino, y sólo resaltar los aspectos más relevantes. Razón por la cual, no encontrarán en mi relato, descripciones como de costumbre suelo realizar, y que sé que cada uno de los vinos merecía.

Pasamos al pasillo de al lado, nos encontramos con Château Cos d´Estournel, vino que llegó en su tiempo a ser el favorito en las mesas de los reyes y emperadores.  Es de la región de Saint Estephe, Burdeos, y nos correspondió degustar la cosecha 2006. Estuvo divino!

A estas alturas se estarán preguntando, cómo aguantan tantos vinos?, les cuento que nunca llegamos a saturarnos, éramos muy medidos en cuanto a lo que tomábamos, y en algunos casos, escupíamos, luego del debido análisis de rigor. Manteníamos buena hidratación, estábamos descansados, comidos mesuradamente y de mejor humor, imposible! Condiciones excepcionales para la cata.

Seguimos con Château Leoville Barton, otro gran ejemplar de Burdeos, concretamente de la región de Saint Julien, cosecha 2003.  Se trata de un blend que combina 73% de Cabernet Sauvignon con 23% Merlot y 4% Cabernet Franc, es un vino tinto color rubí con destellos granate en sus ribetes, cubierto, con cuerpo, hermosas lágrimas, que bajan muy despacio y armoniosamente por la cara interna de la copa, aromas diversos, gran paleta olfativa, fruta negra confitada bien amalgamada con especias y notas tostadas, sensación mentolada, mineral, en boca es jugoso, pleno, sutilmente rugoso y con notable acidez refrescante, aún joven, brioso, pero con taninos cultos, es un vino de casta, creado para crianza paciente.


Luego, viajamos en un paso a nuevo mundo, a Chile y su gran vino Almaviva 2010, fruto del joint venture entre Concha y Toro y el Barón Philippe de Rothschild, Su etiqueta alude a simbología Pre-hispánica, con elementos que  hacen referencia a la fértil unión entre la cultura europea y sudamericana.  Se trata de un Blend de las variedades Bordelesas, donde la cepa dominante es Cabernet Sauvignon, y en menor proporción Carmenere y Cabernet Franc.  El vino es espectacular, poseedor de fuerza, y nobleza, ofrece lo mejor de los dos mundos.

Por si fuera poco lo bebido, y disfrutado, fuimos a Château Mouton Rothschild, de Burdeos, Pauillac, se trata de una bodega establecida desde 1853, que produce uno de los mejores vinos del mundo.  Sus etiquetas son particulares, y únicas, propias de su identidad, ya que son creadas específicamente para un propósito por artistas famosos.  Es además uno de los Premier Cru Classé.  Sus variedades son Cabernet Sauvignon (77%) Cabernet Franc (12%) Merlot (9%) y Petit Verdot (2%).  Mis notas de cata acerca de este ejemplar es que se trata de un vino en el que destacan las notas animales, florales, y a regaliz, es sedoso en boca, deja una caricia al paladar, con especies dulces, y amarga despedida, su recuerdo es imborrable, sencillamente sublime!
Cerramos la noche con Opus One Napa Valley 2010, vino que surge de la sociedad del Barón Philippe de Rothschild de Pauillac Francia, y el reconocido Robert Mondavi de Napa Valley, California.  La primera cosecha de la bodega fue en 1979 pero producen este vino desde 1991.  Este vino constituye uno de los vinos más destacados y conocidos de California.  Mis impresiones fueron que se trata de un vino tinto cubierto, rojo rubí con destellos caoba, aromas a pimentón cocido en su punto, especiado, aromas amílicos, tinta negra, notas florales a violeta, talco, en boca acaricia dulcemente, sus taninos tienen estructura y sutileza, ofrece un perfecto balance de fruta y crianza en madera, deja una sensación perfumada retronasal, persiste generosamente en boca, su suavidad seduce.


Bueno, qué les pareció el relato…Fue una experiencia única, perfecta y repetible… Soñé despierta, mi sueño se hizo realidad…
