Dear All:

By an idea of Luca Gardini, world sommelier in 2010, and Andrea Grignaffini, of SPIRITO diVINO (one of the best reputed Wine Italian magazines), comes the Best Italian Wine Awardsevent, whose main purpose is to present overseas the Italian excellence, for an ad hoc Made in Italy.

Coming before the release of the main national wine guides, in this occasion the 50 best wines of Italy- which include our Poggio all'Oro 2006 – will be awarded. The award ceremony will take place on September 24th, 2012 in the beautiful setting of the Grand Visconti Palace in Milan.

Among more than 160 wines selected initially, with severe and careful research through hundreds of leading Italian wines, only the best 50 ones were chosen through a major tasting table, made up of an Executive Committee of absolute value. Among them we can mention some of the most influential Italian wine critics such as Daniele Cernilli, Enzo Vizzari, Pierluigi Gorgoni, as well as some International personalities such as Raoul Salama (Professor at the Faculty of Enology of Bordeaux and editor in chief of the prestigious magazine "La Revue du Vin de France") and Tim Atkin (English Master of Wine and journalist for magazines such as "The Economist").

For the Poggio all’Oro 2006 this is a recognition of great prestige, which once again confirms this Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva among the elite of the most celebrated Italian wines.

We take the opportunity to inform you that also one of the prestigious wines we distribute, the Rosso del Soprano Palari 2008, has been included in this restricted group of finest Italian wines.

Confident that these outstanding accolades may support you in your daily work, we are pleased to extend our best wishes.
